Jill and Lyn's Great Escape

Hi again
Here in Canada they have free internet at their visitor information centres so we can do a quick update but cant upload photos. We are now on our way to Maine USA..about to cross the border...spent the last two days touring around Nova Scotia...did the Northern coast yesterday...very dramatic at times with high cliffs and super high tides. Spent last night at St. Johns. Today the weather is foul....very wet and becoming blustery but should clear later today. The scenery is still lovely though with all the fall colours and coastal villages. On Thursday we fly from Montreal to Boston and then bus to Cape Cod and Provincetown. Looking forward to many nights in the one spot and some down time! Thanks Susan and Jeanne for your lovely thoughts....we wanted to turn around after leaving Nova Scotia and head back to PEI! When the weather turned bad we sadly regretted our decision to leave when we did.
The driving today is tricky - very wet & windy - not good when you don't know where you are going!
Just to make you all envious, petrol here is 91 cents per litre! (about $1 our money!) - no wonder they all drive huge petrol gusslers! We feel left out without the mandatory pick up truck - would suit us I think!
